The current state of affairs.
all but done
These baskets/walkways build up like a DREAM! 14 parts each and other than an odd locator point to clear up and some mold seams on the rounds, go together very smoothly and quickly.
This represents about 20 min work last night.
Still to come, all those missile tubes.

i think there are two versions, and the one modeled in the kit does not have the gun barrel supports.
The photos I have head-on seem to show recessed barrels inside the tube.

The Kashtan is built and has a coat of light blue grey on it.
Now for some shipboard weathering. I've got some pics with barrels/shrouds with the paint burned off and I'll go with that effect.
Also seen some pics with lots of fresh orange rust on the launcher and base. Probably wont go that far through.

Thanks man, it's a land speed record build/finish for me.
As for the finish effects, it's pretty standard stuff. A blue 'filter' onto the lt grey. Some rusty washes and wiping the dried wash back with those pink makeup sponges. It's dead simple, even a mope like me can manage.

All done but the final dull coat.
Overall not completely happy with the finish. Ancient Mig Blue filter did not 'filter' well but stained panels in a oddly haphazard manner.
For all the well-engineered build, the attachment of those basket assemblies underneath is just by two small pins and needs to be held in place until dry or glued with tenax or superglue.
I left off the muzzle caps and tried to replicate the staining from some of the firing pictures Still needs a little more work.

They eject from the port opposite the feed and fall to the side. depending on the slope they either roll away or 'pool' close to the gun base.
Mike It looks fantastic. Really unusual but and eye grabber for sure.
