Beautiful build, B20

Thanks very much, Gary!

I was able to prime the R35. Here are the resulting pictures.

Great job, Joseph!
Maybe it's not too late to add a small but important part. There should be a vision's slot cover on the commander's cupola. HB forgot to add this part on r35. But they corrected this on their r39.

And here I am with another Renault's tank. It's the third one in this campaign if I'm right. But the first r39.
Here is my starting photo.

I'm only halfway through. It looked so good in the box. But is a real pain in the ... in the reality. The suspension is a nightmare

The interior is not glued yet.

Marek C.,

Nice choice, I hope the drive and wheel system fits better than the Academy version.

I glad to see the work going on in France 1940. I have been enjoying following along with the builds. My own project has been waylaid by preparation for a long distance move that has been taking up my building time. We'll see if we can get anything done before it all gets packed up . . .

Great shots, Joseph! I had to look twice just to be sure that these are not photoshop repaints

Marek, keep up, all pain-in-the-beeep projects teach us something new...
In my case: I'll do wheeled vehicles for a long time if I will finish my panzer IV... the track links of Miniart fit the sprocket wheels a bit tight but OK and look nice. But they have some flash on them, 5 attachment points and some of them needs some drilling the pin hole. I measured and it takes 1 minute 46 seconds to clean a link on average... that means 352 minutes to clean the needed 200 links for the tracks. Almost six hours of my precious and scarce free time. And that is only the cleaning, not the assembly...
So at this moment it seems impossible to finish my model before the deadline. But it will well fit the Unfinished Business 2020 campaign next year

cheers,
Zsolt

Hi Marek, I checked my PE fret and there was no part like this included. I'll just have to leave it as it is.

Your progress on the R39 is looking good. I'm having a deja vu moment since the parts on the pictures you posted looks like the ones I worked on with the exception of the trench crossing tail. I agree with your comment about the suspension. It is a nightmare to work with. A lot of unnecessary PE parts. Good luck on your work and looking forward to seeing the results

Thanks, Peter! Glad I stumbled on to the PhotoGrid app. It makes it easy to see the progress from different WIPs.

Thanks Zsolt. That's funny. On one of my other photo posts, since the tank I had was primed in gray, somebody commented that it looked like a CAD picture.

Lap Man, I am looking forward to seeing progress shots of your Hotchkiss. What camo scheme are you going to apply?

My R35 has been fully painted and decals have been placed. I'll try to take pictures later so I can post them here.

Okay, build part completed. On to paint.

Chose not to use too much of the Aber set I had for this. Just too fiddly and on stuff that would not be seen.... just as well it came with the kit at the swap meet...

@Peter: the Char is looking great.

@Joseph: Oliver is correct your photos are fantastic and the armor looks spot on.

Tim: Your Renault FT does look fantastic. But I am biased since I have always loved the FT.

Everyone great work.

Some great work guys! Glad to see you cracking on!

Ohh... looks like there is only a couple weeks left.

Peter, nice to see you near the closing stages. And I just realized I have to complete a model a month, between August and november 2020.
