One thing that was done on at least some M1s in Germany was mud camo.

Talking about the Bradley in REFORGER, this one, pictured in 1985 (from the 1st Battalion, 7th Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division) appears to have a (faded) temporary camo scheme :

For the M1: the 11th Armored Cavalry used some mud camo during REFORGER '83.
The M2/3 from 1985 have some white wash camo over forest green, it was during a winter REFORGER.

I was at 2AD(Fwd) in '88-89. Our armor was green. It's in the Tankograd Op Free Lion book.

I'd suggest looking at https://military-database.de/manoever-nach-jahr-exercises-by-year/

I'm just getting back into building and I'd like to build both a bradly IFV and a M1 MBT from approx 1982-1983

I know that they were basically a solid forest green color... What raddle can of spray paint matches that shade of green the best?

BTW, I was with 3/68th Armor, 8th Infantry Division (Mannheim, Germany) from 1980 to 1983 and we still had M60A3 TTS tanks and M113s when I left in the summer of 83.
