I don't know about models. I'd be looking for other entertainment.

Mmm... Haojile!

A very good brew. The Germans occupied the port of Qingdao during the decline of the Qing Dynasty, having observed the Chinese attempt to build up the defences there. The brewery they founded still produces this Pilsner-type lager. One of the few that I would quaff!

I have certainly downed a few Tsingtao in my time. Matter of fact, about 1/2 of my Chinese is "Bing Pijiu", or cold beer. For you Brits, if you leave off the "Bing", you'll get room temperature beer.
A modeling buddy of mine frequents parts of the city, I haven't heard about him finding any kits there.

There is a hobby shop called tiger near Hong Kong Road. It is near a big shopping mall where you can buy bread.

I will check if I can find the name of the street.

I left Qingdao by the end of 2012 and you know that things change a lot in China in a short period of time. The owner has another job and therefore you might find it close when you go.
