Recently I bought the Takom Bergepanzer 2 and I would like to build a verslon as it was in service of the Dutch Army.

On the web, I found already some pictures but can anybody help me in pointing out what are the most important differences compared to the German version in the kit.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards,
Marc

Differences...

1. MAG 58 machine gun and mount instead of the MG3 and German mount
2. Dutch style grenade dischargers on the left hull side.
3. Long covered stowage box on the crane arm.
4. Dutch antenna mounts.

Lots of differences from the kit. I am building the Canadian version right now. This just what I quickly noticed.

Thanks for the help.

Sent PSM an e-mail on one of their sets irt the Dutch version, so hopefully he will tell of they plan a Dutch conversion set

@Mark; just curious but are there many differences to the Canadian version also ?

Looking at the pictures, I also notice that the Dutch version has a different style of tracks. Any suggestions as aftermarket ?

Hey Marc,

Leopard Club has the tracks:
http://www.leopardclub.ca/workshop/LW036/

I don't have to do much to convert it to a Canadian Taurus, and I used the Perfect scale conversion to make it an A2. Almost finished.

May I suggest alos buying the revell Leopard 1 kit #03240

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-03240-leopard-1--754443

Besides the many dutch add -ons you need it also has the early type tracks, which the dutch used untill the end.

Looking very nice. And the engine on the deck is really a nice touch.

I was planning on buying the PSM engine-pack but didn’t know Hobby Boss supplied the kit with an engine.

I just saw that PSM has released not 1 but 2 Dutch conversions for the Bergepanzer

Now I only need to decide which version ;-)

BTW; does anyone know is both the “genie” and the “bergings” version had the 3 color NATO camouflage ?

Small update after some time.

In the mean time I bought the PSM conversion for the ARV “bergingstank” but also the interior kit. The interior requires some fitting because it is really tight with all the details.

Will try to post a picture soon.

Before I start painting, does anybody have a link to some good internal pictures ?
I have found 2 or 3 on prime-portal but not much more.

Thanks,
Marc

Yes, you need to register as user of the new forum.
Yes you can link to this thread. Copying pictures from this thread to a new in the new forum is REALLY simple.
Open two browser windows, one with this thread and one with the new thread and then drag and adrop images from the old to the new.
You can also link to the old thread, also drag and drop or copy-paste
