Yeah, it's definitely tedious; but you can't argue with the results.

Excellent work, Marcell.

I think I'm going to do one of the two Panzerhaubitze kits I've got. Maybe I'll do one as the one for FC Schalke 04 in blue. That's something that will definitely catch the eye!

Aloha all,

Marcell: very nice on the digi-cam. Turned out really nice.

I've applied a filter and pin wash so far, but I think some more filter might be in order, followed by some chips and light weathering. I need to work on the ammo as well.

Happy Modeling,

I have totally been putting this off because of the shield mounting to the carriage. I did, shamefully, consider just forgetting the shield or, worse, putting it on the shelf of doom (someday to be dealt with again?).

Anyhow, I cheated a bit after many frustrating efforts to get the upper brackets mounted. Ugh.

Carriage is right now just sitting on the trails as I need to finagle the barrel back in. Another "Ugh."

But, hey, I done did sumptin' to it.

Looks fantastic Zon. Really turning out nicely.

Good luck with the insertion Mike.... be gentle, I'd hate to see this one come apart.

Hi Kelly, before you get started I suggest you check with Richard as to eligibility. I think that a Sturmtiger was previously called out as outside the rules as the projectile is rocket powered.
Rules:
"No rockets, missiles, anti-tank guns or air defense artillery. "

At last some progress on the AFV Club 1/35 sIG-33. I finally got around to attaching a brass ring and the metal barrel to the gun.

After a couple weeks of trying to take decent pics, i am ready to call this complete.
Time to finish the Hetzer kit and move on to the Bronco campaign.

Takom's Big Bertha is quite mixed back. Good fit, nice level of detail, good parts like the shield with zero ejector marks, but then there are many areas where better part division would have eliminated need to use filler and there's even five very annoying and difficult to remove ejector supports in barrel elevation gear:

Very nicely finished Marc. Nice to see one without a slogan slapped on the side for a change!

Gary, little steps, but the journey won't be finished without them.

Pasi, I have this in the stash. I will be watching closely. Yes Takom do some quite brilliant work, and other times the engineering defies logic. Sometimes it is like each part in the kit is designed and manufactured by a different person without any consultation between them.... and from what I see, the same guy seems to be their 'gear design' person...

As far as steps, I've only reached step 6 (out of 31) in the instructions. I'm used to parts being bigger than in the instructions but these are tiny! Some of the instruction drawings are also not that great. As a matter of fact, one shows a part that doesn't exist! The worst is yet to come: step 22. It's pretty confusing with some parts to be glued and others not.

Still, it is progress!

Now that is a model you don't see built often Roman. Looks like a great little kit.

Got the whitewash on:

Here is what I was going for:

You can see the whitewash only covers the front and fighting compartment, not the rear of the vehicle. I originally thought there was no whitewash on the roof because the hatch had none, but I realize that is the INSIDE of the hatch so I think I have to add whitewash to the roof now.

Hey Ezra, I am sorry but The campaign leader will bump your choice from this build as ineligible. The Flak 36, being Anti-aircraft and anti-tank does not fill the rules here:
"No rockets, missiles, anti-tank guns or air defense artillery. "

Essentially this is for weapons that can be used for indirect fire type operation.

Keep the Flak 36 handy though, because Flak and anti-tank group builds happen frequently.
