M1165 GMV goes to the workshop. I'd love to make the notorious THOR, but modifying the door is too difficult. I will probably build such a modification

Of course, the most interesting is this version

... but it's a nightmare. I will try to create such a construction for fun, but it is probably impossible
Basic set for M1115 Academy. MT / R DEF Model wheels, Live Resin components and photoetched parts by my colleague.

Thor is one of my favorites as well. I'm still hoping for a full resin conversion from Legend.

Looking forward to seeing your Humvee magic on this one.

Do you have any information about this conversion? Is this something certain or just your dreams?

My dreams... I know they have Peter S 3D parts so I was thinking it is a matter of time when Legend releases the conversion. That was couple of years ago and still nothing. So, I'm not holding my breath for it.

I've seen you have the DEF model suspension & tires set; where have you found it ? I thought it was not available anymore.

Ettore
I bought and used a long time ago. For the model I will use only wheels and suspension from Bronco. It gives a great effect

Waiting for converted window frames and rear bumper. I will have two versions to choose from, so we'll see what will be born. I pre-modified the window frame, but I don't like it, and I'm waiting for the ordered one. For today - the bottom of the body, air conditioners, additional fuel filler.

I know you're using my walk around for this particular build - third and fourth photos at the beginning of the thread, but what is this "notorious Thor" you speak of? Surely not this one from my company in Iraq. Any photos of which one you mean?

Very nice! Where did you get the potato masher antenna? Is it Ettore's 3D model from Shapeways? The rear cargo compartment walls as well?

Really a good job, Piotr.

Mine is still on the workbench, looking at me and asking “when are you going to complete me ?”

Damn!

By the time I've been away, I've lost this masterpiece. Looks impressive, Piotr.

I'll get some ideas for mine. I've also found some nice addons on shapeways.com for the M1165.

Nice job, buddy!
