Here's the Drive Sprocket, I assembled it and used the cap to fasten it to the Drive Housing. Then it's simple to glue the housing to the hull, and the Sprocket rotates.

The Idlers are molded open, you can tell the outside by the small grease fitting.

Parts are supplied to blank them off. My refrences say that they should be blanked off from the hull side.

The instructions have it on the outside, I suppose some could have it that way. This is how my refrences have it.

There's a small skid that goes on top the mount, one edge is flat & the other is curved. I almost missed that.

Bottom view.

You may have to shorten the square pin to get the Idler units to sit flush against the hull.

Here are the completed Idlers.

Finished for today.

If you are careful with the glue the return rollers will operate.

It's a good bet that there's a kit coming with an interior.
Here's the bottom excape hatch.

There's part of two engines in the kit.The rear parts.

I don't know about this, there's a very big blank spact behind them.

The fans are just a waste of time, better to just cover them up.

Here's the rear bottom of one of the sponsons, if you aren't using the skirting the two holes need filling, or you could just leave the brackets that go there empty.

There are two nice radiators that go above where the engins go.

The Radiators installed.
Adding an engine would be a waste of time as they would be below and not visible .

Finished for now.

For the readers, it looks like the blanking plates were applied about 50-50 inside and outside. On the bogie wheels it was about 5 - 95 inside and outside. There were depot or field additions, so the shape and position could vary. (By the time the Bulletin came out the factories had switched to stamped disk bogies and solid disk idlers.)

While these were intended to address a combat issue and intended only for vehicles overseas or on the way, it seems to have been almost completely applied to vehicles that never left the US.

Hi Donald,
many thanks for your construction notes and pictures.
I have the model and I find really strange the lack of hull's interior (turret's is present) and engine when they add some parts such as fans and some hull's details.
It's not clear to me if an interior and engine will come in the future, possibly as separate kits, or simply the drop down the production to keep a lower price.
I think a more detailed hull interior is a must in such a large scale model because we can easily see a lot trought open hatches.

Since you say that you have the kit, Don't bother with the engine fans and radiators. You can't see any of them.
On the real vehicle the whole engine deck is removed to access the radiators or engine. You would have to make a 3 piece removable engine deck.
As for the rest of the interior, it'll probably be there fore more money when the main company releases this kit again.
To me this looks a lot like a future Hobby Boss kit.

Now to continue.

The kit has a Hedgerow cutter included. You should fill the 4 holes if you aren't using it. This was used in the Normandy area.

Here's the bow Mg. mount, don't get too excited for you can't see any of it.

To mount the Mg. you have to install all 3 parts as shown then glue the outside.

The Periscopes in all the hatches can be made rotatable if you are careful with the glue.

Carefully glue in the L5 rings to hold the L18 parts in place.

The Periscope guards were a little tricky.

Now for the spare track.

I find it easier to glue the guide horns to the connectors before installing the track pads, this way there's less likely getting glue where you don't want it.

If the tank has the folding AAMG mount and rear stowage box, it will have windshield mounts. They were introduced at the same time.

That's what I thought, since I'm not doing any-one special tank, I think I'll load the front up with left-over Panther & King Tiger track for extra armor.
The windshield is a real piece of krap, not much detail and it really doesn't look good.
The 30Cal. Mgs. aren't much better, I have some ordered from Shape Ways, I'm hoping that they will be better.
