Ok, this is what I have:

- Tamiya M60A1 with reactive armor
- Academy M9 dozerblade
- Verlinden hydraulics part for dozerblade kit

Where should the hydraulics parts be installed on the M60A1?
Can someone send me the instructionsheet of the Verlinden dozerblade kit?
Are there any pohot's that show a M60A1 with the dozerblade installed? (showing the hydraulics parts)

The hydraulic unit sits on the left rear fender. The hydraulic fittings (hose) are attached along the underside of the tank, adjacent to the left roadwheel arms. The hydraulics then come up the back side of the hull and to the reservoir on the fender. There is a second tube that goes into the left rear lower hull access panel (it is next to the tow pintle). That square plate is removed and an access plate with holes for the two tubes is put in it's place. Sorry I don't have any photos on me.

Rob,

Do you have the Tamiya yourself?
On the left side of the upper hull there are three box shaped structures. The first is next to the turret and the other two are behind the first one. On the last part of the left fender is a small box just after the towhook.
Is one of these boxes removed to make room for the hydraulics?
The parts I have from the Verlinden kit is a box-shaped part (10 mm x 15 mm) and a tubular part (20 mm long, 6 mm diameter)
Without the Verlinden instuction sheet it's hard to tell what goes where.

I've got all Tamiya M-60 series kits.

The long box (next to turret) with three handles on top is the sponson box used to hold tools like the shovel, axe, pick axe, tanker's bar (a 5 foot long iron pry bar), etc. The second box is the air cleaner. The third is the rear sponson box. This is the one removed to install the hydralic unit.

Is one of these boxes removed to make room for the hydraulics?

See above^
FYI, Academy makes an excellent M60A1 RISE Passive with M9 dozer. I've got that kit and it is better than the Tamiya+Verlinden.

Does the Academy now have the pump, etc? The ones Ihave seen lack the rear stuff, though I imagine that the blade assembly itself on the Academy must be superior to the Verlinden resin kit. I found the Academy easy to put together if you take a little time to dry-fit everything first.

Hey, Rob, can you ID where the lines from the rear attach to the hydraulics on the front? The Verlinden instructions show the rear of the hull and all quite well, but do not show where the lines fron the rear attach to the front end...

Unfortunately, I'm not near any of my kits or references and won't be until December. The hydraulc lines run along the underside of the hull near the left roadwheel arms.

hi there
i have just finished the Academy m60a1 with M9 dozerblade and the hydraulic lines are as folows:
1) from the rear of the reservoir to all the way down to the drivers left hand hydraulic unit on the hull front
2)from the front of the reservoir to the left side of the left hand lower access panel
3)from the right side of the left hand lower access panel all the way down to the hull front and across to the drivers right hand hydraulic unit. both lines run parallel to each other all the way down the left underbelly of the tank.
i hope this will help
