Here is a link to a gallery of the works of Marion and Alan Ball. They are a talented husband and wife team, Alan being the sculptor and Marion doing the painting. There is some very impressive work, and i think is very inspiring for us all.

Lovelly work. Marrion has an excellent eye for colour composition.

I'd love to interview her for HFM...

Great find, Mary

I had the pleasure of meeting these folks at MFCA last month. Marion, whom I didn't recognize til I saw her name tag., as she was packing up her "travels A;one" figure and I started to talk to her about it. I got to talking with Alan at the hospitality suite on Saturday night. Both are very opne and personable people. As well as being excellent artists.

I know this is in the Ladies Forum, but I had t o say that I find their work very inspirational. Alan has to be one of the best sculptors around ( I recognise many of the pieces),and Marions painting is so precise and the choice of colours excellent.

Absolutely! One reason I don't pursue art as a career is that I never thought my colour-eye was well refined. That, and art is more work than aviation!

Thanks Mary.

I am truly in awe of those who can sculpt their own figures and then to have them painted as these are...incredible.

Thank you for sharing that find Mary.

I just found out Marionand Alan will be doing a seminar on painting and sculpting at the Long Island Figure Show this Saturday. That'll make the trip all the more worthwhile.
