Looks really great. So what technique did you use to get the chipped paing look?

Henk - EXCELLENT job all round, but major kudos for the groundwork in particular...those tracks and that mud are seamlessly worked together. I am really liking that !

Thanks guys, glad you like it. This is one of my own favourites, and still sits at the front of my display cabinet..

Ralph, i painted the basecoat of Panzergrau and after that had dried I applied Maskol where I wanted to show the white paint worn of. Then a coat of White, and after drying carefully remove the Maskol. Then add many little scratches with Panzergrau with a brush aswel as some white spots. Washed with an Earth coloured wash, all over first and than successive layers lowerdown to intensivy the effect towards the bottom.
Jon, The mud is a mixture of PVA glue and ground coffee (after you made the coffee.. ).. It gives that 'flat, dried and cracked' mud effect I was after.
The tank was added to the ground when I did the mud, to ensure that the tracks where properly 'sunk' and merged with the mud. A coat of gloss varnish to simulate the wet mud finished it off.

Fantastic build Henk. Thanks for the tip on making the ground work. As a coffee addict, im never short of grounded coffee! I especially liked the way you did the little stream on the side!
