hi everyone... i have a DML's panzer IV-E coming soon and i was thinking of getting some interiors, probably resin AMs, to spice up the kit.

i know CMK makes the turret, driver'compt with transmission and engine... are they any good? the CMK parts are made for Tamiya but I think they can probably fit into a DML.

apart from CMK, are there other manafacturers that do the PZ.IV interior?

thanks.
Henk

Hi moJimbo,

There are many AM interiors for the Pzr IV, I know verlinden does some, you already mentioned CMK and those I happen to have... aswel as the Pzr IV E..
I'll do some test fitting for your tomorrow morning (at work at the moment) and let you know if they fit.
( note to rivet counters...I know that the CMK sets are fot the Ausf. H or J, but what the heck... :-) )

Cheers
Henk

Hi,

I have the CMK set for my IV E aswell.... looks like it will fit just fine... From the IV D to the end of the war was the IV series equipped with the maybach 120 TRM motor...

I have to admit I am really impressed with the detail of the motor from CMK really nice stuff.... (I have seen one in person at the Panzer museum in Munster and it looks spot on!)

Hope this helps.....

Gray

P.S: forgot to add..... I don't have the full interrior set, just the motor, keep in mind the interrior set is for the H, J version which had the longer gun.... the ammo storage is differnt between the IV E and IV H,J

I also used the tranny and final drives from that set in the driver's compartment of my StuG IV early to late conversion. (Which left the fighting compartment / turret and engine compartments left over for later projects.)

It's a bit "basic" and the detail is soft, but it's usable for a "through the hatches" interior, and it's pretty easy to find and modestly priced.

Chiming in with my son (Mason), the Verlinden kit is nice and is working out great. It does lack in a clear instruction sheet though. I wanted to go a step beyond what it offers...transmission linkages and electronic wire runs, so I created my own...

Mason has been following my example in his build (as you can see in his post)

All in all, I recommend the Verlinden
