Here's a link about the new Concord Publications on the HMMWV - thought you might like to check it out. Word is the Canadians get these reference books faster than we do in the US - soooo, if you gotta have it NOW - maybe you should try and confirm this rumor...

Hopefully, this link will work for you. If not, then you might check it out at:

Hey Gunnie!
Well done man!
But how I could buy it? And do you know how much does it cost?
Cheers!

I've purchased another Hummer reference book that I thought highly enough to post here for you guys. Wings & Wheels Publications' Green (Present Vehicle Line) #4 is M998 HMMWV in Detail. I got it for $22 dollars US at the local hobby shop. All color, 60 pages, softbound.

Interestingly for me and Sabot, the book opens with the M1190 / M1114 Up-Armored HMMWV we were questioning in a different thread last week. The vehicle was photographed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. It looks like something Arnold would drive - even has smoke grenade launchers on it...

There's a nice two-page stowage diagram on the Armament Carriers for modelers wishing to equip their models according to the specs, with 6 different weapon configurations. The book covers variants in use today, and A2's where applicable, but doesn't always call out the A2 changes. The book is geared towards the modeler, and has many detail shots difficult to find anywhere else - other than your neighborhood National Guard Post.

Worthwhile addition to your military vehicle library.

Probably being used for the mine clearing control vehicle that I saw at Redstone. Ft. Leonard Wood is the home of the Engineers.

Probably right there. The photos in the book are pretty nice and it appears this baby is geared up for combat. It's intended as a replacement / upgrade of the current Armament Carrier's and their mission profile. Looks like a tough customer.

I would love to see that picture. If there are no copywrite issues, maybe you could post it. If not and it isn't to much trouble I could get you my e-mail address and have you send it to me. Smoke grenade launchers would be a cool addition to a hummer model. I should try and track some down or make some for the one I am going to build in the future.

I think there are copyright issues Andrew that preclude posting here on the site - but I can scan-N-shoot and e-mail to you...

I'll do that tonight when I get home...

Gunnie, can you tell us the ISBN number of the book you're talking about so I can look for it myself? Any other details are also welcome.

Can you send me the picture also?

Same here Gunnie. Even though I see HUMMERS every month on drill, its good to have a good reference library.

Thanks in advance,
