I love this site. Every once in a while, you come across a diorama that is simply amazing. And then one like this comes along that makes the amazing one seem insignificant LOL Kym, your dio has left me speechless. There are no words to say how incredible that came out. Sell it to a museum for a kings ransom or something. Beautiful!

This is truely awesome.

Would it be appropriate to add more frothing immediately behind the tugs? Also, dock are incredibly filthy. Would more grunge (dirt , rust streaks, peeling and/or faded paint, damage and weathering and trash) reflect the typical dock?

These comments are only to make a superior piece of work totally outstanding and to tie you up for another 6 months! What do YOU think? It's something you can tinker with for the rest of your life. How do you like that? I've been 16 years on one dio. Do you think I have a closure problem?

My problem is that while working on a dio such as this, new ideas kept popping into my head. Hell, while waiting for some parts ect to turn up from the US, I did a 1:72 Revell Flower class corvette and the Amati U-Boat. I have always wanted to put the two of them together somehow, but nothing really came to mind until cleanig the workshop one day. I stacked the corvette on top of the U-Boat's box and looked at the side pictures, instant idea. I made a stand with the corvette above the sub, giving the impression of it hunting it.
.... and as for the dock, all I wanted to do was knock off for the day and retire to the Officer's Club
