Thanks everyone for the great compliments. yup, this one was entered last month, and didnt seem to get much response...with the 1 photo for everyone to view, I think its harder to see.. It made it difficult for me to make my choice that way. anyway... to answer your questions.. the hard edge was achieved using Silly Putty. best method Ive used so far for masking general areas. as for the finish, the camo colors I varied each color with different tones to show a faded look to each.. If I remember correctly , I used 3 shades of each color. For weathering itself I only used pins washes instead of giving the whole model a wash. That keeps the colors from being altered ,and also keeps the camo tones vibrant. The streaks and dirty spots was done with pastel powders and Mig pigments applied at random with a small stiff brush. I would like to point out the figure too, this was from pegasos platoon line. I havent cared much for their first releases in this line, but the newer figures theyre putting out, like this one are awesome. Kudos to them for this one , I felt he fit perfect for this model. Great details too.
