"Here is my Tiger I (Early Production) No 332 sPzAbt 503, Russian Front during Oct 1943. It was built from the Academy kit. The decals and the mantlet were sourced from the Tamiya Tiger I kit. I've added a Lion Roar metal barrel and some Photo-etch.

I enjoyed the photos. Well done. October, 1944? IIRC the 503rd had been re-equipped with King Tigers and conducting operations in Hungary. October, 1943 - the 503rd was still operating with Army Group South in the Ukraine equipped with Tiger I's. Recommend you go with October, 1943 Respectfully, Treadhead12

Hi Duane, Thanks for the comment. You're absolutely right! It should be Oct 1943. It was a typo error during the photo editing. Happy modelling Ken

Hi Ken I really like your model. I have to admit I don't know much about Tigers and the various makes and marks, but I really like what you've done and it looks just fine. Well done and thanks for sharing the photos with all of us. cheers Bob

Hi Ken, A superb job on your Tiger. I really enjoyed it - a classic case of less, being more. Proving that all the extreme weathering we see so much of these days is not always needed. Tony

Awesome finish, man! I like the lighter tone of the grey you used--was this your base coat, or did you lighten it with filters? I have to say this is one of my favorite Tigers I've seen. Very, very nicely done!

Hi Ken Good work on the overall grey. With your weathering, it made the monotone finish very interesting. Nice one.

"I like the lighter tone of the grey you used--was this your base coat, or did you lighten it with filters?" Hi Karl, Thanks for the comment. It was the base coat (panzer grey) gradually lightened up with white & light grey layers. Generally, I do not use filters for single tone camo.
