Libya 1942

  • move
The Steyer 1500A was one of the common transportation vehicles in various theatres during WWII. The diorama represents a Steyer 1500A somewhere in Southern Libya in 1942, made using the Tamiya 1/35th scale set with CMK engine detail set (very useful) and Hauler photo etched parts (not so useful). It took me about half a year to finish it and while I am quite happy about the vehicle, I have to significantly improve figure painting skills.

Good built

Very nice. My only quibble would be the tarp which looks like Tamiya's usual hard plastic and not very believable. But scratchbuilding a top from tissues, etc. is a major pain in the ***, so it's more like an observation and not a criticism of an otherwise fine build.

Thanks all for the comments and yes Bill, it is original Tamya tarp:-) If you have more suggestions for improvement, please shoot without hesitations, I am about to start next project:-)
