An recent announcement from Italeri lists two Self Propelled gun kits. Two modern big guns to add to the collection.
Italeri continues to re-release older kits, this time around the M109G and M110A2 in 1/35th scale. There is no word on any upgrades to the molding, or looks of anything new added. From looking at the sprues for the M109, if memory serves me correct look the same, it is the same kit, and I cannot speak for the M110 as I have never built it. It is great to see some of the old kits resurface, and maybe with hopes of some aftermarket sets, these could build up to great looking pieces.

Yup, two reissues of classic kits. Neither is new nor modern though. The standard M109 was replaced by the M109A1 in the early '70s. The M110A2 was last used in Operation Desert Storm (ODS, '90-'91) and shortly after was retired from service. The two kits are '70s and '80s tooling as well.

That's great news for me so old tooling and molds is just fine. I've seen these go on eBay for over $100 and that's a bit salty, if you ask me. ~ Jeff

hmmmm... how about Verlinden to re-issue their M110 A2 Update? And the HobbyFan update set will also be a helpful re-issue. Time will tell. Hans-Hermann

Thought there had been a reissue - there seems to have been a price correction on eBay from $100+ down to $30! Can't speak for the 110, but the 109 is very respectable once you put a set of AFV Club track on it. I have the bits for an M108 stashed, so it now won't be a big stretch to get an M109 donor kit!
