Coming soon from Riich Models, a much desired anti-tank gun and some ammunition to load it with.
Riich Models has a 6pdr coming our way, and it should be available as soon a March 2013. This much desired anti-tank should be a definite step up from the old Tamiya kit. Riich will also be releasing an ammunition set to go along with the 6pdr.

35018 – Ordnance QF 6pdr Mk.IV Anti-Tank Gun & Mk.1A Carriage
30009 – M1 & 6PR 7 CWT(BR) Ammunition Set

Armorama would like to thank Jim Rae for the quick find and pointing this exciting release out.

I'd strongly suggest starting with this set from Bronco: There would be degree of modification necessary, for a 6 Pounder crew but well worth the efort The set is: CB35108 - British 25pdr Gun Crew Set (w.w.II N.w. Europe)

The Riich kit appears to be the very late Mk IV so it should not be a difficult piece of modelling (or production) to make an Airborne gun from it. A long overdue release I wonder if this kit beats AFV's 17 or 25 pdr to market or for tha matter DML's M3 Medium? Al

So will this work with the announced Bren carrier for a tow or was the Mk. I already out of service when the 6pdr came? Was the Bren even ever a tow for the 6 pdr? Cheers! Stefan

Al, the trouble is there is a bit of work involved to convert into the Airborne version, as the trails need to be cut in half for folding up so they could fit into the gliders/ other aircraft for ease of transport. Also the apron shields in some images I have seen are not attached as is the outer shield...I have try'd cutting my Italeri/ Zvezda six pounders up and it is frustrating trying to make the pivot points in the trails...!!! So hence my aching for the Airborne version.

However, not beyond the reach of the more imaginative AM companies?

Yes, I am quite aware of what is involved in converting one to Airborne (having done one from a cross kit of the Peerless (Airfix/Zsvesda/Italeri) & Tamiya abortions many years ago. The Airborne gun was based on the Mk IV and was a weight and size reduced version of the gun Riich (and AFV apparently) are offering. The hardest bit is the trail folds but I am certain that the Mk II, M1 and Airborne Gun will follow Al

Regarding the prime-mover for the 6 Pounder, which is a reasonably important subject, two vehicles come to mind. Firstly, the IH M5 H/T (which we'll probably never see in styrene). Secondly, and following Riich's announcement of the Universal Carrier Mk. 1, an excellent alternative would be the Loyd carrier (particularly for the Mk IV 6 pounder). I wonder....
