A great looking, and very useful, new weathering pack from True Earth, and this time to help the build achieve that perfect burnt out effect.
True Earth continues to release water based weathering agents that make the weathering process easier. They have announced a new weathering pack to help you achieve a great burnt out effect. The Burnt Out Pack is a combination of 5 new True Earth Structured Filters, that can be used to create this effect.

From the Manufacturer:
A complete products pack for burnt out, overheated and cooked off effects, on any kind of kit.

5 new Structured Filters that work in combination, over a purposely formulated primer.
Them all suited to reproduce the distinctive rust, smoke, burnt metal and ash effects found on metal machines submitted to fire or overheating. Thus, they are also ideal for old engines, exhaust mufflers, shell impacts….

Primer features: resin / acrylic formula. Both colour and texture of this primer are studied to perfectly hold the subsequent filters washes. Can also be spread in transparence, in some areas only, over a previously painted kit.

Structured Filters features : a new filter / paint formulation.
These filters are specifically formulated for irregular patterns, in subsequent washes over the base primer.
Spread pure, they have a well matt and thin texture, with a full color.
Spread diluted in water like washes, or over pre-moisted surfaces, the colours turn to a cooked off, faded and patterned /thinely pointed effect.

Resin Acrylic BURNT PRIMER 26 ml
Structured Filter BURNT RUST G 17 ml
Structured Filter BURTN RUST R 17 ml

I like it. I'll definitely have to try it. Eventually I'll have about 20 burned out vehicles that I plan on doing at one time. It does remind me of the Rustall that I think I got about twenty years ago. I accidentally found that if you applied it over Testors DullCote it produced the whitish effect seen in your photos. I guess I'll be checking Colpar's soon. They seem to stay up to date on all of the newest products.
