NATO in Miniatures released a new figure in 1/35 scale.
Brit-006 - British Paratrooper in Afganistan

The figure is sculpted in 1/35 scale by Michail Varlamov, with the boxart painted by Dmitry Baev. The figures should be a very welcomed addition to the growing range of modern British figures.

The figure is available at: http://soga-miniatures.com

I'm no modern Brit para expert but this guy is kitted out for 'early' Afghan campaign due to the old kit and 1st version of the weapon...? Either way, nice figure.

Nothing to indicate he is a 'Para'.. dressed the same as every other British foot soldier of the day... Nice addition though. Useful.

You say nothing to indicate 'Para' but is he not wearing a para helmet and airborne webbing...

What is airbourne webbing? and the helmet does look airbourne

Airborne webbing was webbing issued and designed for use by the paras,2 sqn raf regt and sf and even some marines, it differs from standard plce webbing in the fact That it sits slightly lower and tighter to the body, the pouches are all closer together and rather then being separate pouches they are all connected to the belt and non removeavle.... by far the better set,was made of slightly thicker fabric and better stitching and was more durable... especially the buckles
