There is a new product out from True Earth that may make filling those troublesome gaps a little easier.
True Earth has announced a new plastic putty that they are touting requires no sanding. The new product, Waterfiller Putty, is a waterbased resin that will allow modellers to fill gap easily. There is even a free online tutorial to help you start out.

I have to disagree with that and with the information we have thus far.Deluxe material have supplied a putty which shares some of the attributes but it is a paste this would seem to be a liquid, at least that is what I believe at this time.

Also note that the product from True Earth is a resin water based product, where the deluxe is just water based. I have tried the Deluxe product, and it does not work the same way the True Earth product is described.

So once cured, is it resistent to alcohol and water? If not this will be an issue when washing your model down prior to painting. I have ordered a bottle, so I'll find out soon enough, just curiuos. /Erik

I recently purchased some and it works GREAT!!!! Filling in seams is easy and then removal is easy as pie.. a little rubbing alcohol and all the excess is removed, normal primer didn't affect it one bit... and the best thing is i didn't have to worry about removing any detail around where it was applied... always a bonus

Looks like Perfect Plastic Putty to me, with the difference that you can clean this one with just water.

This is NOT the same as PPP, this putty you paint into the gaps and wipe away any excess. No sanding involved. The dollar is very strong right now, worth more than a Euro, so buying overseas is good! I bought two jars and shipping was only $5USD... $20 USD for the whole package. And the Yen is down to 118 to the dollar, so buying from the east is good hunting, too.
