Bronco Models announce a figure set out of left field in the form of a Drum Head Service.
Bronco Models has a good history when it comes to the quality of their figures, this latest announcement is to my belief the first time anyone has offered figures taking part in a Drum Head Service. These services were very common in the British Army and I would also assume the same for the Americans, Canadians, French and so on. Also announced by Bronco Models is a Russian Zil-131 truck. This Zil-131 is the second model I can recall that mentions being produced in co-operation with SKP Model. Both of these announcements are 1/35th scale.

CB35206 – God’s Blessing
CB35193 – Russian Zil-131 Truck (early version) with winch

I have no word on what is included with the figures, but as a rule of thumb Bronco Models does usually include the items shown in their artwork, with the exception of the jeep of course.

This is a nice looking set, and something very different. They are all ready for a graveside service as well as the mass. It would make for a good, reflective diorama. As for the religious kit, all my Bronco kits have included generous extras, and as key as it is to the scene, I would expect it to be there.

Hmm, I did something like this a while ago. Got some rude remarks.

The God's Blessing set is definitely on my want list. I had an uncle who was a chaplain in WWII and Korea. He volunteered for Vietnam but at 74 the Army turned him down. He has long since passed but this would be a special way for me to honor one of my heroes. Thanks to Bronco for thinking out of the box. John

Sorry to hear that. It says more about the ones who do so than about you. Don't feel bad about it!

Well, except for the priest pointing in a general direction of God
OCT 23, 2014 - 07:36 PM
Actually he's not pointing, just holding his hand in the position a priest normally would when administering a blessing. Great set!

Looks like a really useful set. Al

It is a great set. I think the priest can be modified a little ( boots ?) and used also in a WWII scenario (whermacht ?)
