ACE Models has just launched their small scale BTR-80 Early Production Series.
The BTR-80 is an 8x8 Armoured Personal Carrier from the Soviet Union, and entered in service in 1986 replacing the BTR-70.

Considering its size and scale, it seems to have a good number of parts in 4 sprues. It comes also with vinyl tires,a photo etch fret and decals for both Soviet and Russian vehicles, and even UN markings.

I've been looking into their older kits just the other day and was kind of disappointed by the quality shown in the review images (lots of flash, very thick molding, etc). However, this newer kit does look different. The PE and vinyl tires are also something not very often seen in this scale. Are you planning a build log any time soon?
