AMMO by Mig Jiménez has announced its new line of plastic kits, starting with its Tiger II Ausf B (Henschel) offered as a 2-in-1 kit.
In collaboration with Takom, AMMO by Mig Jimenez presents a special edition kit that features two unique versions not available before. This kit boasts of two assembly options, new parts, and other unique features.

March 1945 Model

This version incorporated the last improvements that entered production with the turret completed by Wegmann in March 1945:
  • deleted ring on the commander´s cupola
  • simplified rear turret hatch
  • new holders for the spare links model Kgs 73/800/152 (18-tooth drive sprockets)
  • five D-loops welded to the turret sides to help attach foliage as camouflage
  • deleted jack and wooden jack block
  • cooling air louvers on the rear engine deck to replace the large grille openings
  • two new locks for the driver and assistant driver/hull machine-gunner
  • internal mechanical changes
Proposed model July 1945 (What If)

This version would have entered production in July 1945, including many improvements compared to the previous models:
  • new Entfernungsmesser 1.6 m R (PZ) range finder, exclusively designed for the new modified turret of the Tiger B
  • three-piece engine access hatch
  • new radiator system (heating)
  • a Sturmgewehr 44 instead of a MG 34 in the glacis ball mount (not in all versions)
  • an MG 42 in a new mount in place of the MG34 co-axial MG used on the previous models
  • infrared system mit Infrarot- Sheinwerfer (FG 1250)
Estimated availability date: March 1st 2017.

too many KTs, so many choices! I guess it's a good thing...

July 45 turret roof is wrong, no room for rangefinder, they say... LINK

You're right. They must've taken turret height measurements from the drawings on pages 150-151 found in "VK45.02 to Tiger II". The notation at the top of p. 150 states the roof was raised to accommodate the internal rangefinder. But, Mr. Doyle didn't draw the turret with the additional height. It's identical to the March '45 and earlier turrets in that respect.

Interesting times, and so many options, some of which are "what ifs"...will it also come with an interior? I like the idea of the 2 in 1 but only if it reflects facts and not simply gamer speculation. The March '45 interests me the most, though some of the July '45 were already underway and being issued (MG42 vs 34, etc) Either way, I think that I'm currently AWASH with KT kits, so maybe someday...

This is actually pretty interesting to me. Apparently they'll be shipping out in march. It's cool for sure, if you're into those late-war things that verge on paper panzers (yes I know the March and July '45 versions are real though).

The original price is 63.50 euro? What are they thinking. Even the reduced price 49.95 Euro is still expensive considering that the kit is exterior only.

What kind of price would you expect? 63.50 is only $18 USD more then the original kit. It is a limited edition kit which invariably means that they are probably moulding far less of the new parts which will increase the cost. And limited edition also means that it will generally attract only a specialty crowd that will accept the fact that they will pay more for something like this of a limited nature. And while the price is more then the base Takom kit, it is no more then many other kits from Trumpeter, Dragon, AFV Club, etc. Doesn't sound unreasonable to me, and if you pre-order it's virtually the same price as the original kit (with no interior included of course).

A glaring mistake, to my eyes....

I think its an interesting kit but considering is bascially a Tankom King Tiger without the interior it should not be identically priced to the Tankom kit. I am not really interested in the July 1945 model as it was never actually built
