Kinectic is working on a M992A2 with interior
The M992A2 Field Artillery Ammunition Supply Vehicle (FAASV) is built on the chassis of the M109-series howitzer. It replaced the M548 supply vehicle.

This ammunition vehicle has a taller superstructure, without turret, to store 95 rounds with a corresponding number of powders and primers.

Not only it looks great as a single model, it will be also an excellent companion for a M109 diorama.

There is still no release date for this kit.

A transparant roof would indeed be a nice add. Or is it just to show what we get?

Judging by the AFV Club illustration, I guess they plan to release a A2. Riich's kit appears to be a M992 or M992A1, as the conveyor have be deleted on the A2 version. H.P.

The M992A2 also has the vertically split rear doors to mate better with the M109A6 Paladin. The conveyor was not removed on the A2, however, most crews remove them since it is easier and faster to hand-carry the rounds than use the conveyor. M992A2 M992A1 with horizontally-split rear doors.

As far as I know Riich are gone. Bronco took over what's left of them, but I doubt we will see the M992 (or Paladin) from them...

Seeming to recall that AFV Club, Kinetic and Riich were all in the running to produce an M992. Any news on any of the manufacturer's progress? Sounds like Riich is out, with Bronco being an outside possibility to take up the baton ...
