Henri-Pierre, If you look carefully at the tip of the "V" just visible over the logs on the third picture, you can see it appears to be as "skinny" as the one on the left side view on the first picture. Could the tank or markings have been repainted at some point?

You're probably right, but what about the letters on the turret? Toro seem to have missed that. Or maybe the crew added that when they covered the hull side. Cheers, Christophe

Officers doing their best to keep the troops busy when there is a short pause in the fighting? Did the Vendome survive until the end of the war or was it replaced by a new one? / Robin

"Vendome" was destroyed on January 28, 1945 in Alsace...Chars-francais has no info about a possible replacement. H.P.
