AC Models released first part of their 1/35 scale Pershing tank riders from Korean War. Parts two and three will be available soon as well.
The kit comes with five seated US Army soldiers, three whom sit on a tarp. With the additional two sets currently in progress, these figures will add the human touch to your Pershing nicely.

Oh, No!! When Mr. Kim sees this he'll take it as excuse that US is preparing to invade!! But seriously, can these guys be used as late WWll US infantry - ie. late Spring 1945?

Excellent to have Korean War figures.

Fantastic! I wish I knew as much about US uniforms and gear as I did German. I would like to think one could use these guys as Sherman riders in Germany in the Spring of '45 but I'm not sure if all the gear would be appropriate! I'm seeing these guys resting within some rubble next to an M10, Pershing or E8 in Aachen or something Cheers all!

As far as I know, ALL US Army gear used in Korea was WWII standard with the exception of the 3.5" "super bazooka".

casailor.......You are right, US Army gear in Korea and almost all weapons were ex W.W.II except the 3.5 bazooka. Also, all North Korean and Chinese gear, arms where ex W.W.II Soviet, specially the SU76, and T-34/85's.

Well-- you're close but not quite correct. Sorry to be a killjoy, but in the interest of accuracy regarding WWII vs. Korean War uniforms, these tank riders are wearing the Model 1951 uniforms, which makes sense if they are Pershing riders. The biggest outward change of the 1951 uniform was the Model 1951 Field Jacket which had a built-in hood and metal snaps inside the pocket flaps instead of the WWII field jacket's buttons, along with some other minor changes, including color. These guys look like they are wearing the summer uniform, so there are no field jackets visible to "interfere" with using them for WWII, but they have a distinctly Korean War feature-- the high top lace-up boots common only to WWII paratroopers, which didn't become standard issue until the 1950s. There were also some minor uniform changes in 1948, but these guys don't appear to have those changes--not that they could be seen in 1/35 scale anyway. As far as weapons and web gear goes, you are correct that the US Army was still using the M-1 Rifle, and not much had changed in web gear. However, the LBE straps appear to be very late WWII, 1945 issue straps. So, between the boots and the LBE straps, these guys would only be suitable for Korea without modification-- which would be simple enough, however, I doubt many folks would even notice these details anyway when the figures are painted up, and they would would look great riding on the back of a Sherman or the top of a an M-4 HST tractor (there's a great photo on page 51 of Ampersand's Issue #13 of Allied and Axis' -US Army Long Tom & M4 HST of a tractor with riders on the top in Korea--similar to these guys).
