AK Interactive announced a new line of paints at the SMC show in The Netherlands today. This new Acrylic Lacquer range called "Real Colors by AK" is no small endeavor with a whopping 114 colors offered in completely new glass jar packaging.
The new bottles will also feature a color label showing the actual paint color. Other key features (in their own text):

- Spraying is now a real pleasure and thanks to our new chemical formula, even if you damp the surface too much, the paint stretches and dries with a nice matt finish.

- Can be diluted with our own specific thinner or the ones from other brands and types: acrylic lacquer (non-vinyl), lacquer thinner, alcohol, water.

- Paint adheres and dries perfectly with a soft matt finish, so you can throw on it all the treatments, punishment and weathering you love to make.

- If lost in a forgotten island, you can easily mix Real Colors with the stock of paints from other brands you may have.

There is also a book offered entitled "The Real Colors of WWII" and features the writings of Jürgen Kiroff, Przemyslaw Skulski, Mike Starmer & Steven Zaloga. This is what the say about the book:

A real travel through the research of official, private and industry archives about the development and use of colors on German, Russian USA and British AFVs. 200 pages full of text, color photographs, camouflage schemes, profiles, general camouflage rules, etc. A must book for modellers who like to know more about the real thing and THE definitive guide for WWII AFV Colors.

Well VENKO i to share your pain,i have spent ages trying all sorts of paint to get DAK colors right i wrote AK about how poor their Dak set was.Just as i cracked a mix for 8020 yesterday with their paint they go and release this(Murphy's law) . Looks like they are trying to get away from looking similar to Ammo. The only down side i will have to spend a bit of cash on paint. Have fun Wayne.
