MiniArt's Buildings and Accessories Series is soon to release its set on WWII-era fuel drums used by the Germans.
German 200L Fuel Drum Set WW2 (35597). The kit will come with injection-molded parts to build 12 drums as well 6 hand-operated pumps.

The problem with any styrene fuel drums is the seam down the side when you put the two halves together. Otherwise it's a lot of filling, sanding, and re-scribing.

Hero Hobby uses the simple but ingenious method of halving them across at the ring, negating the need to worry about it. I like the look of these though.

These are always useful and I really like the embossing on the barrel ends. I'm in agreement on the need to sand and fix the joint and look forward to a solution to this in either casting or 3-D printing?

AFV club's do have ring segments slit along the rims, but still have join lines resulting from the slide mould around the central bung. They are still a lot easier to fix than the vertical join like these. They even come with, ahem, "Iron sheet Stickers" for that metallic look But don't knock these until you have seen them. T
