Editions du Barbotin is a French publisher who have produced a series of excellent monographs on early-war French vehicles within their 'Trackstory' series. Now, the publisher has announced the eighth in the series.
With some manufacturers (most notably Bronco) realizing that French Armor is a commercially- viable subject for 1/35th scale kits, inevitably, the need arises for documentation on these interesting vehicles.

The Trackstory series of books concentrates exclusively on the early-war, French AFVs. The latest book in the series is:

Trackstory n° 8 - Renault D1 This, 64 page book, contains 12 pages of color profiles and 90 (b+w) photos - 70% of which are previously unpublished. The nine chapters in the book cover (amongst other areas) the initial development, details of the communications equipment, the pre-war period, it's use in 1940, the deployment of the D1 in 1942 to Tunisia, Camouflage and Unit Markings and a bibliography. The book is Completely bi-lingual (French/English) and will be published on the 12th of February.

Another one for the bookshelf. Hopefully they'll do the D2 as well to go with the articles on 19BCC in Histoire de Guerre. David
