We've been provided with images of a VERY welcome release from the Chinese manufacturer, LionRoar Model Arts Co. - another FULL 1/35th scale kit.
L3511 - sWS 60cm Infrared Searchlight Carrier 'UHU'

Many were pleasantly surprised with both the quality and imagination the company showed with their BMW & Zundapp Motorcycle kits in 1/35th scale - producing (full) sophisticated 'Multi-Media' kits. Now, the company are continuing this process with a popular subject which has been horribly in need of a MODERN replacement.

The old (Italeri) kits suffered badly from a number of serious inaccuracies which were in part due to the vehicle that was used for the research - which had been poorly restored. The intention of this new model, by LionRoar is not simply correct the original, but to give modelers the opportunity to build a model to Modern standards.

No word on release date, but everything indicates this large project is coming close to fruition.

More information on release dates as it comes along.

Finally, our grateful thanks to Brian, for making the (initial) images available to Armorama!

Can wait to see this one. So many weapon platforms looks like a great base for loads of possibilities for a great SWS. Maybe in time for the "What if" campaign?

And since they already do the 'weffer kit, it's not too far a strech to imagine they'll eventually do the version with the rocket laucher on the back. Any word on if the searchlight is their own new tooling or are they using AFV's parts?

Nice! This is a welcome addition and the light looks every bit as detailed as the AFV Club lights. No doubt there will be some other variants down the road. And look, individual track links for added realism!

Wow i too want 1 of these i've been trying to get the Italeri sws for a while now but since this one is newer i'd imagine the tooling would be more accurate and of better quality(no offense to the older italeri kit intended) just have to wait and see how much they're gonna charge for it

The price is to much.$60.00 in US.I can get much better DML kits for less than $60.00.I'll wait and catch this on some kind of sale.

How many sWS do DML do? That's right, none. Alternatively, take a look at HobbyEasy or Luckymodel for lower prices?
