Awesome! Can't wait to get my paws on this one. I wonder if Squadron will follow up with a Color "M88 In Action" like they did with the M113? Wonder if AFV Club will ever re-release the 'Nam version of their M88? Great news! Regards and Aloha, Johnny B.

This is the kind of book you would expect from Tankograd. I am glad Squadron beat them to the punch... but in the end I would buy both. Thanks for the heads up.

That is good new however which vehicles are covered exactly? The title says M88, but the linked Squadron blurb mentions M88A1 and M88A2 as well : Cheers, Christophe

Cheers, Christophe[/quote] The book covers the M88 in detail, inside and out, it covers the M88A1, exterior only. No coverage of the M88A2. - the blurb above apparently was derived from my introductory text - which does recognize that the A2 was developed to recover the Abrams. One other error in the above blurb - there are no profiles in the classic sense - although there are camo diagrams. There are also several - primarily color - in action photos of the M88 in use in Vietnam. Hope this helps, David Doyle

Thank you very much for this information David! I will definitely buy the book as I don't have much on the original M88 especially the interior. I take this opportunity to tell you I found the "HMMWV in action" to be one of the greatest and most interesting books I've bought in recent times. Cheers, Christophe

David, is there any chance that we'll see an "M88 In Action" color book from Squadron in the near future...? Thanks again and keep up the great work, especially on the Vietnam War subjects! Regards and Aloha, Johnny B.

Johnny, I can't speak for Squadron, but I can say that I'm not working on a M88 in Action (although, as I mentioned earlier, there are some pretty cool in action shots in the Walk Around). However, there are more Vietnam-era subjects on the way!! Christophe - thanks for your kind words on the HMMWV book. Hope this helps guys! Sincerely, David
