SKP Model have ben kind enough to send us images of a LONG-awaited release

Unveiled at this year's Nuremberg Trade Fair althogh somewhat overlooked. This is the SECOND Bedford to be announced.

Unfortunately, with the announced release of the other Bedford, this may never see the light of day. SKP don't want to launch a model with immediate competition from another manufacturer.

So, watch this space for further News..

No, Alan, no editorializing. Check your mail box, i'm going to forward you an e-mail I got this morning from SKP which clearly sets out the problems that the IBG announcement has created.

Personally I think they are on a winner with this one becasue there isn't a Bedford available of any variation except the old 6pdr portee. The master looks excellent and who knows what if anything IBG will produce. If IBG were reading the 1/35 market as I said before, first up they would do the QLB and the 15cwt with the No 11 cab as the Italeri kit with the No 13 cab has been around for a long time and like me, I imagine most people who are interested have at least one in the stash already if not more. That still leaves plenty of room for the SKP QLD. They did themselves no favours by releasing the Tilly kit without an engine and seling it as an separate item. I can see the thinking of increasing the sales but with so many manufacturers offering everything plus the kitchen sink where's the incentive there?. The SKP Tilly retails here for £29.99 so like many I have held of buying one to see what the price of the Tamiya kit (complete with engine/driver) will be. As both look to be able to build into a good model then content and price will come into play and that's just the market at work. I'll look forward tio the latest news when it comes along. Al BTW The Bedford is a good fit for the LCM 3!!

Hi Guys, I see SKP have releases a set of resin wheels suitable for the Bedford. Very useful but they need a truck attached to them! Al
