Another figure from Paracel Miniatures Middle East under Fire
series depicting fighters of Syrian Arab Army-SSA or Free Syrian Army-FSA but can be used for all Middle East conflicts.
MW3523 Street Fighter-4 RPG Guy
comes with irregular clothing and a popular weapon.
Figure comes in standard cardboard box of Paracel Miniatures
labeled with a photo of painted figure. Body is inserted into a transparent zip-lock bag, launcher and grenade are served inside another one secured with a small cardboard to avoid possible damages.
Figure is sculpted by Giang Xuan Le
in 1/35 scale and review sample is cast in lose green color resin. Parts are represented on easy to remove blocks. Casting of the figure is very clean that there will be no need for a cleaning process but launcher and grenade need to remove seamlines. Note that you should be careful as the launcher has really tiny details.
Posed standing to fire his launcher, he has a Balaclava exposing only eyes on his head. He wears a military type hooded parka with two waist pockets with flap covers. Under the parka, he carries a AK chest rig and a Shemagh - Arab scarf is wrapped around his neck. Arms are posed to fire his weapon and a shoulder pocket is added to left side. He has military type combat trousers with two side cargo pockets that can painted in many camouflage patterns for this period. As for the footgear, he has thick sole ankle high shoes with laces. Besides being a very clean cast, details on the clothing like folds and wrinkles, pockets, shoes and chest rig are very well defined. On his back, he carries a RPG-7 Gunners Backpack/Munitions bag. There are three large bays for PG-7V projectiles, three pouches for PG-7P propellant charges and small sections for spare parts inside the bag. Straps of the bag and shoulder straps are well defined.
His weapon is a Russian origined RPG-7. It is a 40 mm. caliber, portable, reusable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher. The ruggedness, simplicity, low cost, and effectiveness of the RPG-7 has made it the most widely used anti-armor weapon in the world. Currently around 40 countries use the weapon, and it is manufactured in several variants by nine countries. It is popular with irregular and guerrilla forces. The RPG has been used in almost all conflicts across all continents since the mid-1960s from the Vietnam War to the present day. All parts like wooden heat shield, breech, iron sight in front, trigger and PGO-7V scope are well sculpted. Right hand is cast on the trigger and makes a good fit to the arm. As mentioned before, this part will need a cleanwork and holes should be drilled on both sides of the weapon.
A 85 mm PG-7V Rocket propelled grenade is given as a seperate part.
Nice posing figure with a popular weapon that can be used in all Middle East conflicts. Ease on assembly with less parts and may create very nice scenes with the other figures of the series.
