Introduction
Tools Set is a new photo-etched 1/35 set of hand tools from Matho Models. It is set 35066.

Modelers of almost any genre 1/32-1/35 should find a lot of uses for this set.

Tools Set
Matho Models uses thin brass for this set. Etching is sharp and crisp. Small tabs hold the parts to the fret and to each other.

I count 68 parts:
    Tool box x 1
    Two-man crosscut saw x 1
    Hacksaw x 1
    Open-end wrench x 25
    Combination wrench x 6
    Line wrench x 6
Plumber wrench (two pieces each) x 3
Single Ended Open Jaw wrench x 6
Screwdriver (two pieces each) x 3
File (two pieces each) x 2
    Pliers (3 types) x 6

The tool box is a one-piece part etched with lines to assist in folding the sides and ends. Holes for the handle are etched but no handle is provided. Presumably it will not be difficult to create one. (Toothpick?)

Detail
Matho Models etched a surprising amount of detail into these parts. The saws have teeth. Many of the wrenches have depressions that simulate the flange along the edges. The big saw features the bolts that secure the handles.

Painting
No guidance. Look at your own tool set.

Conclusion
Tools Set is an excellent 1/35 set of hand tools from Matho Models. It is set 35066. Modelers of almost any genre 1/32-1/35 should find a lot of uses for this set.

These feature a high level of detail.

There is no drawback to this set as far as I am concerned. Happily recommend it.
SUMMARY
Highs: Sharp etching. Many tools. High detail.
Lows: None as far as I am concerned.
Verdict: TOOLS SET is an excellent 1/35 set of hand tools. Modelers of almost any genre 1/32-1/35 should find a lot of uses for this set.

I'm a professional pilot with a degree in art. My first model was an AMT semi dump truck. Then Monogram's Lunar Lander right after the lunar landing. Next, Revell's 1/32 Bf-109G...cried havoc and released the dogs of modeling! My interests--if built before 1900, or after 1955, then I proba...

Looks like a nice set. However, there are actually 26 of the open ended wrenches you speak of. But notice those and most of the other tools are doubled up on the fret. I think you're supposed to double them all up to give them a bit more scale thickness.
