Gerber Downrange Tomahawk

“This tool has a single-minded goal: to settle the breaching argument. No barrier is a match for the bevelled edge axe head, the hammer head element, or the pry bar built into the tan G-10 handle. A 420HC steel body won't break under pressure.”

The axe head’s bevelled edge is capable of chopping through drywall and turning walls and doors to splinters. The backside of the axe head functions as hammer for getting through hinges, locks, doorknobs and anything else that’s there to slow you down. The third threat is a pry bar at the end of the handle, controlled by a cutaway grip in the axe head.

Tomahawks don’t exactly fit in your pocket, so it comes with a sheath that’s as practical as the tool itself. MOLLE-compatible sheath attaches to pack, standard webbing or body armor.

Modular Assault Pack Multicam – LBT

Designed for modular attachment to 6094 series plate carriers. Modular web attachment points on front, back and side of pack - great for pouches and plate carrier attachment. Multiple entry points for hydration system, cables and communications equipment. Cinch straps for snug fit with adjustable hook and loop pieces to prevent excess strap from flapping. Two double zippered compartments and front organisation pocket. Identification field on front (hook and loop panel). Drainage grommets on bottom of pack.

The Model

The parts are molded in gray resin and consist of 12 parts to make up 6 back packs.

6 Gerber Downrange Tomahawks
6 Modular Assault Packs

The tomahawk fits perfectly in the notch that is molded in the front of the pack. All the straps and buckles are well defined. Backpack pour plug is easily removed with a razor saw and the the pour plug on the tomahawk can be removed with an X-Acto knife.
SUMMARY
Highs: Crisp details with all the straps and buckles very prominent.
Lows: The bottom strap is either incomplete of was forgotten to be molded on the tomahawk itself.
Verdict: Really nice piece of equipment that can be added to any modern US diorama, vehicle or figure. Back pack and tomahawk can be found on an Operator or Infantrymen. It's a great tool for breaching.

Well once again the included photos look suspiciously like the real thing. That might be flattering but in this case I think that they ARE the real thing; the Gerber looks way too realistic right down to the webbing straps to be what the painted end product looks like. Made me think that I might have made a mistake in picking the SOG tomahawk a few years back. Nice piece of edged kit.
