Introduction

Latest figure of POW series from Paracel Miniatures - MW-3541 POW-6 depicts a surrendered Middle East warrior standing with a broken arm.
Review

  • Figure comes in company’s standard single figure cardboard box labeled with boxart painted by Ryan Thuan. Body comes in a plastic zip-lock bag and other parts are secured inside another one.

  • Sculpted by Giang Le Xuan - Janleo in 1/35 scale and cast in resin. Sculpting of body pose and proportions, clothing details and field gear are nice. Casting is good with no mistakes, air bubbles or visible seamlines. There will be no need for a cleanwork on the body but hands need a fast and easy cleanwork to get rid of flash resin between fingers.

  • He comes as a full body figure with a seperate right hand. As in many Paracel figures, no time waste in assembly. Facial features of a well-aged Mideastern, beak nose, wide forehead, heavy beard and moustache, knit hat are well represented.

  • He wears a long parka with wide collar, shoulder boards and waist band, military type trousers with side cargo pockets and boots. He carries a scarf wrapped on his neck. Left arm is cast on the figure, posed as broken and fixed to neck with a bandage like an arm sling. Clothing details and folds are well defined.

  • Right hand with open fingers and a spare left hand is given in one sprue.

  • Latest Accessories bonus of company added to POW kits is included inside this one too. Field gear including ammo vest with three AK pouches, backpacks, different size bags and a 30 round AK magazine is cast together.
    Conclusion

Another nice posed, sculpted and cast figure to be used in Mideast conflicts surrender scenes with other POWs of Paracel Miniatures.
  • SUMMARY
Nice POW figure for Mideast scenes. An extra left hand for spare box.Filed gear bonus to display next to figure.

The texture on the knit cap seems absent and the figure itself reminds me again of a homeless guy from down the street who is trying to live under a bridge. Not very military in appearance.
