Introduction

Resicast is, for Allied builders, a company which is virtually becoming indispensable. The variety of products which they have within their catalogue is utterly impressive - from entire engine packs to biscuit tins and everything else in-between, the sheer volume of dedicated Allied (particularly British/Commonwealth) accesories makes them the market-leader in a previously ignored sector.

The Set

35.287- 25pdr Ammunition Boxes is a recently produced set from Resicast the set consists of three different types of boxes and in total there are 15 boxes. Each of the five resin sprues contain three boxes. Casting is crisp and clean with no damage and no sign of air bubbles. The boxes come inside a sturdy cardboard box and well-packed, minimizing any 'in-transit' damage.
Conclusions and Utility

The last few months have seen two excellent models of the Staghound Armored Car in 1/35th scale. However, good as the models undoubtedly are, they are lacking in the 'Stowage Department'. As the 25pdr Boxes were widely used by Commonwealth crews as additional containers for personal equipment and tools etc., it seems natural to use them on this vehicle. They were most used (it seems) on Canadian Staghounds which most modelers will use them. However, logically enough, they'll also be used (conventionally) with anyone building a Bishop, Sexton or with the towed version of the gun.

A very useful, well-executed and long-overdue set - Highly Recommended.
SUMMARY
There are two obxious applications for this set from Resicast - for Tamiya's 25-Pounder or for the 1/35th scale model of the Bishop. However, for anyone building a Staghound (particularly in Canadian service) this set will be invaluable...

As well as the Staghound they were also commonly seen welded on to Sherman Fireflys and M4A1/76s in Polish use.
