Kit contents

This small set from Voyager comes packed nicely in a square blister pack. The set provides metal barrel sections and resin fume extractor and Muzzle Reference Sensor. Also included in the set are 8 resin IR smoke grenades and 8 metal visible smoke grenades and PE parts for the grenade storage boxes. The 8 grenades of each will allow you to use them on either Army (6-shot) or USMC (8-shot) grenade launchers. The set is intended for the Dragon M1A1 AIM or M1A2 SEP kits, but can be used on any M1A1 or M1A2, with a little modification to the mounting pin at the base. The instructions are a simple, two-sides 4" by 8" sheet that visibly shows how to assemble the parts.
SUMMARY
Highs: Nicely detailed barrel and smoke grenades.
Lows: It doesn't appear to really be an improvement over the Dragon metal and plastic barrel provided in the intended kit it is to upgrade.
Verdict: A nice set to upgrade the barrel on any M1A1 kit. The smoke grenades and storage boxes are very nice pieces as well.

Comments

Thanks, Gino. I purchased this set because the metal barrel and styrene parts in my first M1A1 kit were defective (styrene was slightly mis-shapen). So I figure it might not help, but it can't hurt.
