introduction

Sometimes you just can’t get enough detail. Well, if you are looking to build a Panzer II Luch, then look no further then adding a Voyager Model WW2 German PzKpfw.II.Ausf.L Luch later version photo-etched detail set.

contents

Included in the detail set are 4 sheets of photo-etch, detailed smoke dischargers with separate smoke candles, two short pieces of plastic rod, and a piece of fine wire. There is also 6 pages of instructions. This set will super detail your Tasca Panzer II Ausf L Luch kit. This set would be the perfect match to add all the details.

the set

This set includes almost every thinkable exterior detail to include; braces, mounting brackets, tools, smoke dischargers, stowage bins, antenna, mesh grill covers, and even details for the tank commander to include badges and head gear. Also included is some pieces to detail the interior of hatches. The mesh grill pieces are done very fine, and look very much to scale.

While most of the pieces in this set look easy to work with, there are some very small ones. Extra care, like working inside of a white box, would be required to work with those extra small pieces. It was a nice addition to include the plastic rod and wire, so you don’t have to go searching through your bins looking for the pieces as they are needed.

The instructions are well laid out across 6 pages, breaking down each component detail, including some PE folding directions. What is not included is any reference to the Tasca part numbers to be replaced or enhanced with this set, so hopefully those will be self explanatory during the build. I would suggest having plenty of reference pictures on hand to easily identify all the detail.

conclusion

Adding the Voyager Model Panzer II Luch PE set would be a great addition to your Tasca kit. Lots and lots of detail to make that tank look real. Some intermediate skill will be needed to use this set based on the extent of the detail and size of some of the small pieces. Overall, an excellent detail set from Voyager Model.
SUMMARY
Highs: Lots of detail- very fine pieces.
Lows: I would not recommend this set to the novice modeler.
Verdict: Perfect combination for that Tasca Panzer II Luch. Will bring the model to life.
