Introduction
Resicast have just released a further 3 Tankers in Pixie Suits to compliment their existing range of 1/35 British Tank Crewmen.

These full-body figures will be extremely useful additions for modellers of British/Commonwealth Armour and Diorama makers. Individually, combined, or added to some of their existing sets of Tankers these new figures will add to the range of choices modellers have.

Some of their existing sets have already been reviewed here on site and can be found at the links below:

Tanker in Pixy No 1

The figures were sculpted by Gerard De Troeye and the box/package art was done by Christophe Nachtergael.

This is a look at Tanker in Pixy No 2.

The figure
Cast in a light grey resin, the figure comes in the standard Resicast plastic zip bag with a card insert showing the completed and painted figure for reference. The figure comes in 4 parts including the body cast as a whole, separate head with hood up, right and left arms as separate items. The figure depicts a standing tanker leaning on a vehicle.

The casting is excellent and I could see no damage or cause for concern with any of the parts. The figure is dressed in the Tanker's Pixie Suit. The detail on the body is excellent: the suit has all the correct pockets and straps.

The Pixie suit is shown with the hood up and the figure wears a pair of over-boots, which is also an unusual feature. There should be little clean-up necessary other than the removal of the small pour stubs on the feet and arms.

The head is very nicely done showing the face of a mature tanker which is surrounded by the pixie suit hood. The right arm is designed to fit in the raised position akin to leaning on a vehicle, the left is designed to be hang straight down.

The figure measures approx 44mm from heel to shoulder so a perfectly acceptable height and the overall body proportions are good.

Conclusion
This is yet another excellent figure form Resicast, to be used as a stand-alone figure or with some of the other excellent options available. This figure needs little clean up so you can get to the fun part quickly. The order of dress is unusual with the hood raised and the over-boots which is a nice touch.

The overall detail is terrific and the pose a natural-looking stance.

Greying slightly, but young at heart. I've been teaching adults off and on for most of my life. Left the services in 85 and first started modelling in about 87 for a few years. Then I had a long spell when I didn't build anything (too busy) and really just got started again during the summer of ...
