Introduction
The KrAZ 214B is large Russian truck which was recently released in model form by Roden in 1/35th scale and is a considerable sized model.
SKP Model has decided that this kit is a worthy model to release a set of their lenses and taillights for. It is this release from
SKP Model that is the subject of this review.

This lenses and taillights set from
SKP Model is supplied in a zip lock bag which is stapled to a card hanger. The lenses and taillights are supplied as a single photo etched fret.
Review
This is one of the smaller lenses and taillights sets from
SKP Model consisting of;
- 8 lenses
- 2 photo etched discs
- A pair of wiper arms and blades
The set is consists of the main headlights for the vehicle with very nice detail behind the clear lenses. 2 small clear lenses whose function is not known to me but that again have very nice detail behind the lens. There are two indicator or reflector lenses in orange which I believe are for the rear of the vehicle, the reason I believe these may be reflectors rather than indicators is the pattern behind the lens which is a diamond pattern. The last lenses are 2 large red lenses with what looks like 2 reflectors behind it, this to me is the cleverest of the lenses in the set and worthy of close inspection if you purchase the product. The last item on the fret is a pair of wiper arms and blades which is a nice inclusion in the set.
Conclusion
As I have said before I am a big fan of the lenses and taillights sets from
SKP Model, and I believe that if you take the chance and check a set out for yourself you will also become a convert. I am aware that other options are available including clear lenses from other companies, however these dedicated sets from
SKP Model have detail behind the lenses that I have not seen replicated in any other alternative product. The lenses and taillights set do have a weakness which is a lack of instructions, which while not always required would greatly help in some cases. So with all that said I very strongly suggest you give this lenses and taillights set a try, or for that matter any of the other products available in this line from
SKP Model as you will not regret it.
