I have just checked, and as you have correctly noted, the link does not open a page. I will investigate if this is due to the work on the new gallery not being finished, or if I have to redo the links. In the mean time, please check back later.
To clarify, as far as I can see the gallery is as it was, i.e. all the previous votes have not been effected.

When I click on this link I am taken to a huge main gallery. No way to navigate to the COntest folder?

Seems to be working now. I logged in and was taken to the main page...that may be the key, currently.

Yes, good news, the link now works again, and takes you to the correct page.

I will leave the voting gallery open for a few more days, to compensate for the lack of access ealier.

Thank you all for your patience during this important change over. Once the gallery is fully up and running, you will notice how much quicker it is.

I just notice when i went and looked again that my original vote had been erased and i had to revote just a heads up incase everyone else needs to do the same also after i voted it showed me the results of the votes so far.

Okay, The gallery opens, but there is no way to vote for anything.

Thanks for the heads up Ron, a similar problem seems to have been the case on the figure contest.. I'll look into it.

theUman, are you logged in in the gallery? Even if you are logged in on the rest of the site, you need to log in again in the gallery. If you look at the top right, you will see an option to either 'log in' or 'log out'. If you log in (same details as your site log in), you should be able to vote.

Henk, I'm definitely logged into the gallery, and unless I'm missing something, I don't see a way to place a vote either.

Greg and Uman, just to eliminate options, after clicking on the link in the first post, you need to click on the relevant gallery (intro and advanced) to get into those galleries. You should see 'vote' underneath each picture in the gallery...

When will the contest end? Wasn't it supposed to be Thursday night at midnight?
Also, will the ability to see the votes stay as a feature? I think it is a bad idea to display vote totals as it encourages people in close races to enlist friends and relatives to stuff the box for them. But this is just my opinion. I would prefer to keep the votes a secret until the end.
Great job to all entrants! There is some great stuff this month. Too bad we can't award all of them!

The voting will be closed later today. The voting normally stops on the 7th of the month, but because of the earlier troubles with the gallery change over, I've left it a little bit longer.
Next month the voting will end on the 7th.
The vote totals are only temporarily visible. This should be sorted out by next month. Again, this is becuase of the change over with the gallery. The work involved in that is quite substantial, and other, more critical issues took precedent.
