Nice short review. As far as the helmets go, its a questionable one.
It looks like a hybrid of both the PASGT and MICH, which is not an issue item. Firstly, it can't be a PASGT. There is no lip extending on the front. Secondly, it aint a MICH. The side come down a little too much. As far as the chinstrap goes, an adapter kit is available for the older PASGTs, and were issued as such. MICH helmets already have them. But in truth, I believe they are supposed to represent the current MICH. The guys probably had big helmets, or little heads. Only Taesung knows for sure...
And on that note, go buy this set even two or three. They're great!

Looks more like the PAGST kevlar to me. If you are saying the MICH is not an issue item, you are mistaken. They have been an issue item since about mid-'07. When I arrived at Ft Hood in Jul '07, they were only issuing them to deploying units. By late '07, CIF had switched over and all new arrivals were being issued MICH helmets, now called the ACH; Advanced Combat Helmet.

As you said though, they are a great couple figures. Go get a set or two .

I'm well aware the MICH is an issue item. Have a couple in my collection. I was referring to the Hybrid models on the civilian market that have features of both helmets. Hope that clarifies my last post. I've never seen a Kevlar cover with the front/rear flap, but I have them on my MICHs. Are they out there? Anyone, anyone?

OK, guess I misread it. As to the PAGST helmet covers, yes, the new ones have the flaps and IR tags as well. They are basically the same as the ACH ones.

This is too good to miss, just the right poses & a choice of heads as well ,thanks for taking the time Gino. I personally think that they deserve the Echelon decals instead of the Verlinden ones though. Another thing worth noting is I think Jimbrae posted a link about painting the digital pattern where one of these figures showed up with the Vallejo model colours which would be useful to see again.
