Here is another great product from Model Scene. These grass mats are superbe and will change the way you think about applying grass to your projects

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the review. I was wondering how this might work over uneven ground and how you think it might mate together if used on a larger area?

I would certainly seem to offer a very easy method for ground cover.

Scott, thank you for this review. This does look like a product that will make doing a dio much easier...two things in modeling that "worry me;" figures and groundwork....this will probably help with the latter.

I've noted in the review that the mat should conform to whatever surface your diorama should have. The mat is a nice soft flexible foam that should glue down nicely to any suface. Build review to come.....

Mike these will ease your fears of grasses and ground covering.

Thanks for the review Scott. It indeed looks likes a nice product, but is it possible to make track marks in the field with this product?

Tracks - hmmm - that is a good question. It won't be as easy as if you put down a bed of celluclay and add static grass around it. I guess you could put down a bit more celluclay or spackle to build up where the tracks would be. Then cut the mat to expose the ground underneth. Bascially do cut outs where the tracks would be - or add some resin or spackle for tracks above it.
