Hi Jim

Congrats on a good review of one of my favorite class of ships
Although tempting, I am still going to stick to my 700th scale ones

Jim, you said in your verdict that "even with some problems here and there...", what did you find that you concidered problems? I've built it with the Aoshima P/E sets and found no problems at all, in fact, it was one of the most smoothest and enjoyable builds I've done in a long, long time.

Kym,

I have no doubts it was a nice building kit. I just found a few small spots where the kit and some pictures I had just did not seem to match up. It could be the pictures and kit reflected different times in the age of the ship.

I hope that makes sense.

nice review... a tad pricey though, considering the size and amount of PE included...

I appreciate when reviewers include how much PE (or AMs) is included in the kits, that fact influences my to buy (and hide from wife) list of kits

James,

The kit from Hobby World Japan is about $73.00, including shipping. I have the Kuma coming and paid just over $73.00 total for it. Of course with the Yen gaining it is costing more, but it is still cheaper than here in the states.
