It seems like a really neat little (?) kit. The scale is curious, as 1:24 has always been a scale reserved for auto modellers and large scale aircraft guys. Similarly 75mm is a historical figurist size/scale - and WWII subjects are pretty scarce in that size.

BTW, isn't there already a 1/24 scale Willy's Jeep out? IIRC Eduard do a PE set for such a kit...

I'm going to go ahead and ask a really ignorant question, but how big is the coin you used as a size reference? I'm embarrased to say I have no knowledge of US coin/note sizes (or any other country I haven't visited for that matter )

The diameter of a U.S. penny is 19mm.

Thanks for that! I reckon this should do well - a 'one-off' like this should generate a lot of interest - not really for the scale but the fact it's a well-known subject and with the previous track record (no pun intended) of Tasca, quality should be a 'given'...

Now, the 38(t) in the same scale?

I very rarely stray outside 1/35 and in the interest of fiscal rectitude I haven't bought any Armor kits so far this year but in a moment of madness I ordered this from HLJ as soon as the announcement was made. I'm not even a big fan of German or early war armor but I'm looking forward to this.
I did read somewhere that Tasca will release a seperate Commander figure.

great review Jim, enjoyed reading it. I really think I'll get one for myself, only if I'll just end up fiddling with the tracks which are a great feature (to my opinion) of this kit, and I hope it'll be in more other kits.

I saw a comparison photo somewhere on the web and this kit came out about the same size as a 1/35 scale Sherman. It looks great and the details are amazing. I am almost finished with the 1/35 scale Panzer II and really wish it could have been bigger. Thanks for the review.

Cyberhobby make a 1/24 scale jeep. It is the up armored version. It would be neat to see other items in this scale, like the 38T, M3/5/8 series or the 3/4 ton WC series. Maybe I could see what I was doing. But price will be a big factor. I hope Tasca does well with this.

hmm, just checked HLJ, and they have it for around 70$.... that's quite a lot of money

Nice review! I think it's a breath of fresh air to get a release in 1/24th. It'll go nice with all those Tamiya, Academy, etc., and I'm sure one of those figures will fit the Tasca model.

For me it would have been even nicer to have this in 1/16th.
