Hi Patrick,

A couple = 2, so that should give you about 4 jeeps

Very nice job Alan. I have a couple of those conversions as well and someday I'd like to actually build one...

Hi John and Ed,

Thanks for looking in folks.

John, the tyres are form a Resicast set of flat tyres and burnt out rims.

Thje set also comes with a set of positionable steering.

Hi ed,

Not all the jeeps had the windowscreens removed. There are a couple of good pics on Page 190 of Arnhem Then and Now showing Major Oliver's Jeep unloading from a Horsa with the screen in place, which is what I based that vehicle on.

Modifications were made by the REME at individual unit level, so whiilst there was a set specification for the conversions there was also great variety in what actually got changed.

Cheers

Hey Al,
Nice job all round on your Arnhem project.
The jeeps, gear and figures look brilliant !!
I love the flattened tires, are they plastic ones from the kit, resin replacements or a combination of both??
Cheers

Hi Guys,

Anyone linking into this one will have to hang fire as the pictures seem to have disappeared! I've asked Keith to investigate.

Thanks

Hi Koen and Alfred,

Thanks for looking in folks.

Alfred, yes they were prone to over heating, especially those carrying the spare tyre on the front. Live and learn I suppose Their intended distance to target was short, but the layout is correct with both the historical pictures and wartime spec.

Cheers

Nice work but I would say this....Are they are to be displayed as in the bitter cold of winter ? Otherwise it would not be such a good idea to stow gear in front of the radiators...................Al
