Is anyone here planning an artillery campaign? I don't really want to start one since I am still just your average modeler. I'm itching to join my flak 36 into one but I can't find any currently running campaign that might accept artillery. If just in case there is, Just tell me.

Thanks.

Hey Fritz, as far as I know there is no such a campaign for artillery for the moment. But the TD group build is good for this Flak build. the 88 is a real mc'coy tank killer.

There was some talk of a "mortar pit, gun enplacement" campaign. Maybe these two ideas could be combined... Or, Fritz, you could put your 88 in a sandbagged emplacement?

Just a thought,

I would be for a artillery campaign..(heh heh surprise surprise!) but I think it would be best in three catagories...I have done a similar "contest" before doing just artillery. What worked best was Howitzers, Anti-aircraft, and other, to include Mortars and the like.

just and idea, but I think any new campaigns will not start until 2004.

Trench campaign
At the start we talked about having a trench, gun emplacement, or sandbaged pit so as far as I can see you artillery idea would mix in nicely with this. Then there will be the 10 members to get it started. As the campaign is in its infancy.. its no problem to make the suggestions on what or what not is acceptable!!

There is a halftrack one in the works. Isn't this thing pulled by or mounted on some type of SdKfz?

It's mounted on the FAMO.

Fritz,

I think your 88 would be acceptable for the Operation Barbarossa campaign that is currently running. You have about a month and a half left to start and finish though. Ends September 21st.

Paste:

3. Other kit built out-of-box. Any type of half-track, wheeled vehicle, fully tracked truck (i.e. RSO), soldier on horseback, wagon, towed artillery piece or other trailer built with no aftermarket parts beyond the stretched sprue.

End Paste

Just another thought,

Shaun

I'd be interested if it included SP and/or railroad artillery.
